Yu sheng is a popular dish during Chinese New Year. However, it is a common misconception that it is a healthy dish, since its main ingredients make up of vegetables such as carrots, radish, cucumber etc. What many don’t notice is that there are also crackers and sauces such as plum sauce and oils that are commonly part of the dish, making it a slightly higher caloric dish than what many may thinkit is.
